Many of you have been asking about Zendesk and Octopus Deploy integration with TFS. In this post, you will get a brief overview of the extensions for these products that can be found in the Marketplace.

Octopus Deploy

The Octopus Deploy extension in the Marketplace supplies Build and Release tasks to integrate this tool with VSTS or TFS. Additionally, it provides a dashboard so you can easily view the status of a deployment in Octopus. This extension is only compatible with TFS 2017 Update 1 and newer. However, an alternate extension is available for TFS 2015 Update 2 and above and can be found in the Octopus documentation.


The Zendesk extension in the Marketplace is currently unavailable for download. Why? It is already pre-installed in VSTS and TFS 2015. With this extension, your developers and customer support can work together using the tool you know and love.

At this time, some users are having trouble with the extension. While uploading the integration, this error message is shown: “Upload Error Missing required key from translations/en.json: name”. The team responsible for the Zendesk extension is aware of this. Therefore, they are planning a release with a fix and an upgrade by the end of this month.
