A: Once you have an account setup with PRAKTIK you will receive detailed instruction on how to connect
to our TFS Hosted platform. Setup takes only a couple of minutes.

A: You can connect to our TFS Hosted platform using the following tools:

  • Visual Studio 2010 (2005, 2008 also supported)
  • TFS Web Access (Internet Explorer)
  • TFS SharePoint Portal (Internet Explorer)

Note: The customer is responsible for licensing Microsoft Visual Studio.

A: Under Microsoft SPLA licensing you are required to pay for licenses, your internal Microsoft licenses cannot be used in combination with the TFS Hosted licensing model.
A: The Trial period is valid for 30 days and you can convert to a Paid subscription by simply returning the Order Form you received during sign-up.
A: There is no limit on the number of users that can evaluate our TFS Hosted offering.
A: Yes, all data is retained and you will have access to it with the Paid subscription.
A: You can start using our services with only 1 user and add more users to your account as needed at a later time.
A: Yes, PRAKTIK can assist with your migration process. For specific migration requirements contact support@hosted-tfs.com and we’ll be happy to assist.
A: PRAKTIK follows industry standard security practices to help protect data and has multiple security layers in place to prevent data intrusion. PRAKTIK’s TFS servers are hosted in SAS 70 Type II certified datacenters. Data exchanged between our datacenters and our customers are secured with a 128 bit encryption (https).
PRAKTIK has customers on 4 continents and performance has not been an issue, depending on the customer’s network connection bandwidth the experience may be different. We do not require a dedicated connection to our network; our services are accessible anywhere where Internet connection is available.
A: Our billing is done monthly, on the last day of each month. We have a prepaid option for 1 year; with this option you will receive a 10% discount.
A: Currently we are processing payment for VISA, Master Card and also Bank Transfer. For our Bank Transfer option details contact our accounting department at accounting@praktikhosting.com. Our prices are in USD.
A: At the end of each month you will receive an email with an itemized invoice with all the charges incurred for last month.
A: Yes. You can see you price break on our main page, www.praktikhosting.com. For accounts +100 users contact our Sales department at sales@hosted-tfs.com.
A: Just send us an email to sales@hosted-tfs.com and we will cancel your account.
Our services are based on a monthly subscription, you can cancel anytime and there are no cancelation charges. Our invoices are pro-rated, for example if you cancel on February 5th you will only pay for the 5days.
